Join us virtually

The Sickle Circle of Manitoba (SCM) introduces virtual support group meetings. This group aims to engage patients and caregivers in a safe space to express any difficulties or successes that can be shared amongst peers.

Meet our moderator: Nedu Ejeckam

Nedu Ejeckam is a Registered Social Worker with experience in working with Black Youth, doing community psychoeducation, group facilitation, and one-to-one therapy. Nedu approaches his practice from an anti-oppressive and intersectional lens, understanding the unique barriers faced by the people he supports. He also recognizes the strength, creativity, and joy that comes with working with and supporting the community. Nedu has a passion for supporting the Black diaspora. As a child of immigrants from Nigeria, family, community, and perseverance were all deeply ingrained in him as core values that he practices in anything he does.
